This is an uneven album to say the least, but it’s interesting and I actually like the way Muddy sounds (though even that can be uneven when Muddy strays from straightforward blues phrasing). Some good solid deeply bluesy rock guitar in there too (not played by Muddy). I would have never let the sax player in the booth though.
These are the only cuts that I can find right off the bat. I love every cut on this album though. One of the few things that lifts the spirits these days. If you like these cuts, I say go ye and lay your hands on a disc and listen away…
